I love passive radiators. They really are a great way to get low end extension without having to porry about figuring out a port. However, there seems to be many people who do not quite understand the basics of a passive radiator. For instance, did you know that you should have double the volume displacement in your passive radiator than the speaker you are tuning? Also did you know that adding weight will lower the tuning frequency? Although, you could blindly put a passive radiator in an enclosure, it is very unlikely that you will get optimal results. In fact it is unlikely that you will even get good results. If you really want to learn the basics of passive radiators, you should give this a good read. It helps answer most of the questions people have about using passive radiator.s
I;ve had my hands on a few 2.1 boards in the past. They seem to always come up short. Not this one! With DSP, DAC, fiber optic in and whole house audio…this offers everything I have been looking for in a 2.1 amplifier.
