Be patient with me as I try to integrate the old forum. I am having trouble with it assigning credit to the right person. I am sorry, but I have not been able to figure it out yet and may not be able to. Luckily this is only for the old forums. Anything new will not be an issue.
Let me know if you see any other problems. Otherwise, I will be importing the old forums a little at a time. If you want credit for the forum, I will see if I can reassign it to you. If not, you can always repost it and I can delete the original. Sorry for the issues.

I mean I am always willing to take the help. I am not sure there is too much we can do at this point. To make a long story short, when they transferred the domain over, they deleted the old site, which I was told would not happen. I was not very happy. But in the same instance, there really was nothing to do. I do have most of the forum backed up and will be adding a little at a time, but for some reason it is giving the wrong person credit. I am not sure why….

Fair enough! The migration process is always painful and not without hiccups. Without knowing what tools you are using, it will be hard to understand the technical issues. Nonetheless, I will be on standby just in case.
The new interface does look very nice and polished!

Thank you. I do like the new interphase as well. I am hoping to off some e-learning classes later for those that want to go more in-depth technical or more one on one learning. That is supposed to be able to integrate with this. But the main reason for the switch was I was having a new issue pop up every week. I was doing more damage control than anything else. I rarely even had time to get ont he forum, because I was trying to put out fires. I t was annoying to say the least.

Finally got back on. Old login (just through you, not through WordPress membership) wouldn’t work. Bit the bullet and joined WordPress, now I’m here. Not sure if I’m a different member on your end. Let’s see how all this works.
Yeah, I see I’m just a regular member now, not a mod.

SHoot, it reverted back to wordpress! Yuck! I think I fixed that, so you should be able to sign in with your old account. I had wordpress working on it and they change that setting and sometimes forget to change it back. It gets….frustrating

Luckily, I stayed signed in on my phone. The login for you doesn’t recognize my password. Is there a way to reset my password? It won’t send an email reset. I can contact you via email.

I can reset it for you. I’ll check on the email reset as well. But send me an email, I can send you a temporary password, then you can reset it once signed in.

Is there an edit feature for the posts? I post and reply on my phone quite often and most times can only see errors once the post is up. I don’t see anything like there used to be for post management. Plus, the mobile experience is not that easy when it comes to posting.

having difficulty posting a reply. Tried to load images. Seems to accept the post, then it disappears. Tried about three times.no success.

I was able to create a new forum thread and make posts. However, it seems that I can only post pictures in one reply. If I try to post more pictures with new replies, the previous pictures get deleted.
EDIT:
Not sure what happened earlier but I can now post pictures with every reply. I had to edit my previous posts and then add the pictures. It frikin worked 😀 !!!!

I know you have been working hard porting the old forum threads to the new one. Please resurrect my HT room build thread too. I have a few updates that I want to post.

I have been in contact with a couple of members about some of the issues of the forum. There is one in particular who has particpated quite a lot and would like to participate even more, but has had his replies dissappear. For the time being, I am willing to help those with posting problems by being their proxy. I will take your post that you wish to get up on the forum and use the quote feature to ensure you are seen.
Let me know who you are in this thread and then use the DM feature for actual “QUOTE” posting.

Good news @Nate and @TVOR-Ceasar I am working on a new site and the forum switched right over with now issues. Even better I can make you both moderators as well. I do not know when I will be able to get it completely working, but the skies are looking up.

This looks great.
I see on the computer I can login. On my phone, I don’t see a login (mobile version).
Also, I didn’t see a join button or a logout button.
And any white pages, like the profile pages make it extremely hard to see the very light grey text.
Not complaints, just observations. I’ll let you know more as we go along. Excited to go exploring on here!
PS – this is so satisfying to get rid of those spam posts. Thanks!!!!!!!

If you look I did a test, it will show the topic as awaiting moderation. If it is spam, mark it as spam. Otherwise jsut approve or unapprove it.

Here you go. Still need to look back through the bodies of the posts in the DIY section, but the rest is pretty well under control.

Next thing I noticed is that for photos, you must provide a web link. And I don’t see any way to add a file, like a pdf or even a text file.
