        Hello Everyone.

I’m a proud owner of a pair of Dinas. Built a long time ago, those babys have been running flawless.

Right now I would love to know if there’s a way of using a second rs100-4 and the rest of the original dinas components to build a floorstanding speaker.

Same concept as the original dinas but with the extra 4inch driver.

I would like to have those units on my living room connected to just a streamer I’m planning to buy.

Any plans or design available for this particular floorstanding build?

It’ll be 2 powered floorstanding speakers.

        Thanks in advance.

PA makes an 8″ version of that driver which has about 6db greater sensitivity. One 8″ might be better than two 4″ drivers.

The difference in response between the 8 and the 4 will be relatively dramatic. The 8 should go deeper with a upper midrange roll-off while the 4 is generally a full range unit with a decent curve up into the upper high end.

What you would want to think about is actually using the RS100-8 as the pair, wired in parallel, so you keep the 4 ohm impedance of the original design. You’ll have less issues with the dsp (should stay pretty close to the original programming), probably only level matching.
