The Jackal from 1997 rates as one of my favourite "show off" movies for it's impeccable sound mix. Especially the opening credits... a real work out for any speaker system.
Quigley Down Under from 1990 rates for it's scenic beauty. Shot on film with deep natural colours it's a real show off piece for the display portion of a home theatre setup. The music mix is entirely natural instruments playing in simple arrangements and it's very well done.
