As you have DIY Amplifiers on here It would be nice if we had a Pre-Amps section & Power Supply section so we can share / help on designs working or not & share our own circuits, As a lot of my work involves Power Supplies & Pre-Amps quite a lot to get my system working ?

That's a great point. Do you think they need their own separate category? Or do you think that a combined category would work

I think they would have to be separate because Power Supplies feed lots of other devices concerned with Audio DIY, otherwise it could get confusing putting Power supplies in the Pre-Amp section when you want to build a high current psu eyc.

I would love to see a DIY project that involved a toroidial power supply.  I've seen several cheap chip amps that boasted some large power output but required dual AC input.  I had a co-worker explain how those power supplies work in primary school terms so I could understand.  This stuff fascinates me.
