      Well i guess it is time for me to introduce myself.  I am 123Toid, the man behind this Forum and the YouTube channel 123Toid and own TD Audio (Toid’s Diy Audio).  I was very fortunate to accidentally start a YouTube channel a few years ago that really expanded.  And I am so happy it has grown to as large as it has.  The only reason I made the first video, was i saw people struggling on other forums struggling to get some basic questions answered.  It seemed no one really wanted to help, and almost looked down at the questions.  So I decided to make a video helping those guys out.  I didn’t think much of it, until YouTube asked me to make more videos.  I was confused, then surprised when I saw there were thousands of views on it.  I thought, to myself, well if there are that many people not getting the answers they want, let’s see if I can help out in any other areas.  So with my Samsung galaxy in hand, I started making videos, in order to answer those questions others isn’t seem to want to answer. It is my belief that we all start somewhere and all want to go somewhere in this hobby.  It might not be the same place, but whatever it is, we can all help each other get there.  It is my hope, I never get to the point where i feel I can’t learn anything, and I hope the same is true for you to.

      Now for a little more personal information, I have two boys and a wife, where I reside in Central Pa.  I love baseball (Red Sox and White Sox), football (Packers) and hockey (Penguins).   My parents didn’t like sports, so I got to pick my teams…what a mix it was, lol.  I also really enjoy movies.  I built a Home Theater which I will have my friends over to watch movies and of course have the family movie night.   I try to always have my doors open for those who want to learn.  In fact, @mrterry is coming over later today to cut a Dinas Flat Pack and learn some more about measurements.  So if you are in the Central Pa area, let me know.

      I have no idea where this forum will lead you, but I hope we are there to get you there.  No matter if that is assembling a pre-made kit or making your own speakers from the ground up.

      Thanks for creating the YouTube channel. I am a subscriber and have learned from watching your channel. Having come from car audio I have finally decided to move the audio diy stuff to in doors recently. Thinking how hard can it be 😁. Well there’s a difference to say the least and watching your videos has pointed me in the right direction.  Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Tang band speakers and the wavecor drivers. 👍

      Thanks both of you.  I really appreciate hearing that.  I do try my best and am really glad when I hear it is helping someone.  @oneway, I’ll pm you something later.  Let me know if you don’t get it.

      Pennsyltucky guy Huh? Born and bred or relocated? Doesn’t matter. Once you call yourself a Pennsylvanian, you’ll always be a Pennsylvanian. 😀

      Been to quite a few parts of our fair Commonwealth. Any particular places for which you have an affinity?

      (If you’ve been in or around Harrisburg, you’ve probably seen my avatar. Yep, that’s a real sign.)

      I actually live right outside Harrisburg 🙂  But not originally from there.  I have lived in 8 different states.  So I am kind of a mutt now, lol.

      Too late, you’re a Pennsylvanian. Lol. That sign is on 322 (I think) as it goes around H-burg.

      Hey, if you ever go over the walking bridge to the island where they hold the baseball games, take a look at the steel. It came from my home town back when steel / iron was the industry.  Now we are known for our microbreweries and distillers.

      Next time I drive out to see my son outside York, I’ll wave in your general direction and yell hello. 🙂

      Well if you ever go see your son in York, and have some free time, let me know.  We can go grab a bite to eat.  York has some of the best restaurants in the area.  I actually live right off 83 between York and Harrisburg, so I split my time between both.

      By the way I go the Senators games quite a bit on city Island, so I know that bridge well.  That is well constructed bridge.  I didn’t realize the steel came from PA.  And I am even more surprised my wife knew what the tri-state area was, lol.  That is not usually her forte.

      If I’m ever in PA, mwaf, or Indiyana, I’ll let you know…… But uhhh, I wouldn’t count on it any time soon. I live in litter box hell aka Arizona.

      Oh and welcome to the forum

      That would be awesome.  However, I am hoping to move sometime this year.  We will see if that ever happens.

      Thanks for starting the forum 123 toid. Any specialty you’d like to see in the forum? Like compared to diyaudio and avsforum?

      Hey Nick,

      Here’s the one question I haven’t seen yet (though I’m sure has been asked) – what’s the origin of your Channel name, 123Toid?

      @shrub0

      Really, I just want to make sure we allow everyone to grow at their own pace.  I see a lot of forums, that when people start, they won’t even answer their questions, because they should know the answer.  That’s not cool with me.  I want to make sure this is a place people can grow together.  Whether that be speakers, amplifiers, whatever.

      @tvor-ceasar

      Oh jeez, you had to open that can of worms.  It honestly started on accident.  Many people don’t realize this, but I never planned to make a YouTube channel.  It literally happened on accident.  I already had an account (123Toid) and I posted a few helpful videos.  To make a long story short, about a month later, YouTube e-mailed me and asked me to continue making videos.  I was very confused, so I checked my channel and saw the videos I put out had quite a bit of views.  Thus, the channel started.

      Now the name came from…well..no imagination, lol.  I was bored and creating a name for something like Steam (I honestly can’t remember for sure.  But I looked down and saw an Altoids container.  Now I knew I didn’t want to be associated with bad breath, so Toid.  That was taken, so 123, since it was going to be easy as 123.  So, 123Toid became my screen name everywhere, including YouTube.  Which was the account I created years before I ever put out my first video.

      Yeah, I found that video when I was trying to look at previous MWAF speaker builders to see if I wanted to enter (still not sure). I’ve watched some of Kirby’s stuff and I think at this point I’ve watched all of toids stuff so obviously I had to watch that one when I came across it. I’m glad my gamer name didn’t hang with from back in the day. I worked at a hardware store and was also immature (probably still am) so my name was “stainlessnuts” on any game that would let me. Lol

      Whoops, looks like the moving phone screen got me and deleted my previous post. Sometimes tech can be really annoying! 😠

      Anyway, sort of what it was:

      @Lindelium18

      I did not know that video existed and I even subscribe to both Nick and Kirby. Seeing as it a PE video, it’s easy to see why I missed it.

      @123Toid

      Can opened and promptly shut. 😀 Figured I help you ” get the elephant out of the room” as Sean @ Zero Fidelity is so fond of saying.

      Yada yada yada… 😁

      Oh, and something about “easy as fresh breath” or “easy as inexpensive project tin.”

      Or not. Lol
