Lee that is a perfect inductor replacement. Unfortunately, there are no substitutes for the horn or the compression driver. Unless you wanted to swap out the horn and compression driver with V1. In which case the crossover also changes. That is up to you though.

Ss for the waveguide, it would seem the Eminence is out of production. At least thats what my french parts pusher told me. ,

I guess it would more or less require new build plans as well.

    Best Regards

I having the same issue here in Germany. Would like top build the Cinema 6 speakers but the Waveguide is not available in Europe. Is there really no alternative without having to change the crossover?

    regards

If you want that specific waveguide there are two options I see.

    1. Get it imported, can be quite expensive depending on import related fees.

    2. Model it and get it 3D printed, which can also be quite expensive if you have to pay someone to model it for you.

Otherwise it would change the characteristics of the sound (tonal balance and directivity). The tonal balance can be helped by redoing the crossover. Similar waveguides will be alright but at those high frequencies, most changes in geometry of a waveguide will change how it sounds.

    Thanks Elliott,

I finally found a website in Germany which sells the Eminence H290S waveguide (screw version of the H290B) and together with an bolt-to-screw adapter this should work together with the DE250 driver 🙂

Really looking forward to build my first speakers!

I wonder if there are already assembled crossovers which have the same characteristics as the proposed parts from toids, since I’m not sure if I can build it myself?
