I’m thinking of doing this style enclosure for some 8” woofers in a set of towers. Anyone ever build or buy a setup like this? I’m wondering, is each chamber about 1/2 of recommended? ie, if a single woofer would be in a 1.5 cu ft box, do you make each of these chambers 0.75? Also, what tuning frequency is the dividing port?

To answer your question, no I haven’t and I don’t have any knowledge other than what he has shown. What does Google or Bing or DuckDuckGo come up with?

A small amount on 6th order bass reflex (two chamber single driver) and a little on 6th order bandpass but nothing on this specifically. Yes, it is from hexibase. Any idea the best way to contact hexibase? I tried email but didn’t get a response.

I’ve never actually done a 6th order bandpass. I’m wondering what is the benefit? Or stated differently, what is it that you’re trying to achieve? Definitely looks like a cool idea.

So, slightly Different in a bandpass; this is a hybrid 6th order bass reflex. Basically, you get the peak of one of the orders and the flat response of the other. Just trying to get the fullest response out of the cheap speakers that I found and see what is Possible…
@tvor-Ceasar it has been a few weeks since I sent him an email. I guess I’ll try again…or a different method.

Did a little more digging and found this thread on Parts Express that tells you about using WinISD 0.7 to do it.
If you put in what is listed in the picture’s caption, there are several hits on Google.

Unless I messed something, those are all different single driver designs they are talking about. What I am looking for is the DBR enclosure they talk about, but there is a driver in each empty space.

Yeah, still nothing. I tried on Instagram too and nada. Oh well. Once I get my DATS V3 and I can get some specs on these, maybe I’ll try again.
