Bookshelf build seeking info to pair with a low watt tube amp
I need to lean on someone that can help me with a bookshelf speaker build that will be used with a 300B Single Ended tube amplifier.
The amplifier will be in the neighborhood of 8 watts and the speakers will be listened to in a nearfield scenario (4 to 6 foot distance).
Male and female vocals, saxophone, cello, piano, trumpet are just a few examples of the frequency ranges I’m mostly interested in.
High decibels, heavy metal, rap, hard rock and disco are just a few examples of the type of audio that won’t be played while <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>enjoying</span> the piece.
If there is a DIYer that has had success in a bookshelf design using high efficiency components, I’d be thrilled to hear the thoughts of your build.
