KeymasterHave you calibrated it yet?

If you’re unsure what to do, just go to that page and click on quick start guide.

ParticipantOk, so I messed with it a bit. Made sure everything was setup correctly in control panel.
When I do “Test Leads Calibration” I usually get a little more than 0.7 ohms (0.7188 0.7201 etc)
If I do impedance calibration after that I usually get 950 ish ohms. If I repeat impedance calibration after that it reads very close to 1k. (1001 999.4 etc)
I have also gotten squigly blue line all over the place. Several times.
So it looks like when I restore default calibration my first initial test of resistance is often low or all over the place but if I test again after that it cleans up nicely.
I just want to be sure im getting accurate results

ParticipantA bit late, but figured it’s worth posting. Any ‘off’ readings, always come back to poor connection/contact. Even with the test leads. Cleaned, and made sure there was a good bite… and all was ok. 99% isopropyl alcohol… cleaned the leads, and posts.
If you have a multi meter, try using those leads (if they’ll fit). Once cleaned, my unit calibrates to spec every time… and it’s done every time it gets used.
Plz let us know how you make out.

Participant@grumpe1 thanx for the help, I have been working on another project not related to speakers. Im building a dresser. When I get the time I will try what you said. It’s only been out of the box for a few weeks but if you say to clean it every time, that might be the issue. When it works it works but it has been very inconsistant. Im sure it is user error though.

Participant“…but if you say to clean it every time…”
My bad… I calibrate every time it comes out, even though the instructions say it’s not necessary. The clips, posts or driver terminals get cleaned when readings are odd… or inconsistent.
“..sure it is user error though”
May be, and if so… you wouldn’t be the first. No matter though, it’s appreciated that you post back when you’re able so if others are pondering similar events they’ll know their not alone… and you might also find something aside from user error that could be helpful. Thanks

ModeratorWhile not related to your situation, this update to the V3 software might help.

Participant@tvor-ceasar hey thanx. I’ll have to check it out. Sorry I havent updated anything lately, I’ve been preoccupied with all kinds of other projects.
As soon as I get a chance I will dig into it and try to inform as much as I can.
