Hello Everyone.
I’m a proud owner of a pair of Dinas. Built a long time ago, those babys have been running flawless.
Right now I would love to know if there’s a way of using a second rs100-4 and the rest of the original dinas components to build a floorstanding speaker.
Same concept as the original dinas but with the extra 4inch driver.
I would like to have those units on my living room connected to just a streamer I’m planning to buy.
Any plans or design available for this particular floorstanding build?
It’ll be 2 powered floorstanding speakers.
Thanks in advance.

June 27, 2024 at 12:30 am #54287The difference in response between the 8 and the 4 will be relatively dramatic. The 8 should go deeper with a upper midrange roll-off while the 4 is generally a full range unit with a decent curve up into the upper high end.
What you would want to think about is actually using the RS100-8 as the pair, wired in parallel, so you keep the 4 ohm impedance of the original design. You’ll have less issues with the dsp (should stay pretty close to the original programming), probably only level matching.
