Hi everyone! I’m new here and my first time building a speakers. I got two questions regarding the placement of the crossovers, because I don’t where to put them. Should I put them in the bottom of the enclosure, or on the top or on the back of the enclosure close to the binding post? And I can use this one as an absorption panel(as pictured) for my enclosure? I shouldn’t thrown those rockwool when I finished my basement. Thanks in advance.
@Lestat No worries. Put the crossover somewhere you can easily get to later and away from the magnets of the woofers. I typically put it on the rear of the enclosure, but at the bottom can work, just keep the inductors as far away from the magnets as you can. (do not put the right underneath).
You can test out sound absorption in the boxes if you want. What you have pictured can work. When I tested it, I didn’t reel it needed any, but it never hurts to test what you already have on had. It is easy enough to remove it later.
