Does anyone have a recommendation on how to modify the Epic Speaker plans to use the larger Epique 7 inch woofers vs the 5 inch woofers? I assume the box and passive radiator will need to be modified. Thanks Patrick

The box and PR will definitely need to be modified/recalculated, as well as the crossover. You’ll need to take into account the differences in response, in box, of both drivers. , so once you get the box size finalized and the PR tuned, then you’ll need new measurements to update or redesign the x-over. Best thing to do is grab WinISD and XSim, and some sort of measurement mic and software, in order to do what is needed once you have the physical base speaker in front of you.
Great question, Patrick. You’re right—scaling up the cabinet volume and tuning the passive radiator are the keys to making that swap work well.
Just wondering if anyone has images of the finished Epic crossover.
