MemberI’m new to this particular forum so I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Nick and I live in Canton Ohio. I’ve been into DIY speaker building for a little over 25 years. I’ve built many pairs of speakers in that amount of time ranging from designs in books to designs found online. Being an avid woodworker I enjoy the construction phase of speaking building the most.
It’s funny because I can go 4-5 years without even researching or doing anything with DIY speaker building but then I get the urge to dive back into it again. My goals are to design my own speakers instead of using other people’s designs. My goals also include learning more about crossover design, which is my weakness. I have watched all of 1 2 3 toids YouTube videos and they have been the most help to me out of all the books and internet forums I’ve ever read. I’m also legally blind which makes doing things on a computer kind of difficult but I’m the type of person who’s always determined.
Thank you for all the videos you have done and for creating this forum. I love your simple yet very technical approach to this Hobby.

KeymasterFirst of all Welcome! I am really excited to hear that you made it over here. I wish I could have welcomed you faster, but I was closing on my house yesterday and doing a lot of grocery shopping, unpacking, etc today. I am really excited to see your first design. And just know we are all here to help you along the way. Any questions, please let us know. This is a big step and I am really excited to see that you choose to share it with us. Feel free to start as many topics as needed along the way. We are all here to help each other out.
I also personally want to thank you for the high praise. I really appreciate hearing it and am very thankful it has been helpful. I hope that this forum will be just as if not more helpful.
