Hi, newbie here with a bit of a brain dump, plus I’m looking for some advice:

I bought a pair of Arylic Amp2.1 boards early last year in the hope of building a wireless stereo pair of three-ways, using the three channels and built in DSP for crossovers. However, it’s just not possible to get the time alignment between the two boards, so there’s a very weird flangey stereo image. I ended up doing a completely different 2.1 build with one of the boards, and am using the other for a 2.1 portable boombox buil that is still in progress. The one problem I have with them in their current use is the level of hiss, which I find is just unacceptable, so have been considering a -10db Lpad, or 1.0mh coil on the hf channels and compensating in the DSP. Would this work?

However, the main reason for the post is that I’m still really keen to build a truly wireless stereo pair along the lines of the DINAS, but possibly using a coaxial mid/tweeter. The thing is, every solution I’ve looked at (Tinysine, Aiyima, Dayton Audio, etc.) has a compromise. I’m assuming this is only possible using bluetooth modules with TWS functionality and I’d like them to be as hi-fi as possible. I’ve heard that the TDA and TPA311x based amplifier boards also suffer with noise, so had been trying to find other alternatives and it seems there is a consensus that TPA32xx boards are more likely to deliver sound quality and lower noise. I’d also be more comfortable using DSP for the crossovers, because I don’t have an inventory of crossover parts and real-world trial and error can be slow and become expensive. I’ve heard mixed things about the ADAU1701 DSPs, especially in terms of the DAC quality, so had been considering either using a better DAC for the tweeter and mid-range, or using ADAU1452s. As with the DIANS, I’d like to have independent control of the LF driver level. The Dayton Audio KABD-4100 theoretically allows all of the above, except the TWS, however I have heard that it too has high inherent noise levels. Anyway, questions are:

    1. is there truly a noise issue with the TPA311x (such as the Lepais in the DINAS, or the KABD-4100).

    2. am I overthinking this whole thing?

    3. Is there a simpler solution to a truly wireless three-way stereo pair, that has hi-fi quality sound?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the brain-dump!
