    Was searching on google and came across this, I couldn’t believe the price of this thing, 5 million dollars for the gold version 😲. Surely it can’t sound good with all that in front of the driver’s? I’m assuming it’s more of a show piece than an audiophiles dream?

    I think I saw this a while back while checking out something like Alibaba or AliExpress. The thing was very small, had maybe 2.5 – 3″ speakers and relatively low powered. It is definitely on the “Art” side of audio.

    Yeah it’s hard to tell it’s size from the picture, from what I read its made from solid gold and is the ‘worlds most expensive music system’ but I just cant see it sounding any better than the small bluetooth speakers you buy on ebay or amazon. I would rather have great sounding music, than a block of gold as an ornament 😄

    Well, you could search for “Solid Gold Music System” or “River’sTone premium speaker system”, but I’ve got you covered:
    https://www.homecrux.com/riverstone-premium-speaker-system-made-from-solid-gold-is-worth-5m/38790/
    This is the only one so far that has any meaningful (sort of) specs on it, and it has the obligatory background of the man behind it.

    Even if I had the money to buy it, there’s plenty of other things I’d rather do with that cash.

    @tvor-ceasar

    Yes exactly, I do wonder what it measures like, but I won’t be buying it to find out 😄 thanks for the link 👍

    @dameo182

    Yeah this thing is hilarious.  I can’t imagine it sounding good, but if I remember it uses actual gold.  SO you are buying more into the prestige of owning some bling more than audio.

    @123toid

    I agree, if you can afford to spend 5 million dollars on that and not care how it sounds then Life is going your way 😄

    @dameo182 I think you and @tvor-ceasar should go halvsies for the betterment of the group 🤣 That way we know for sure, that it is all show 😆

    Better yet, maybe I should just ask if they want to send it out for review.  😉

    @123toid haha I wish I had enough money for that to be a possibility,

    Actually that is a great idea, send them an email, imagine getting the chance to hold 5 million dollars worth of gold and platinum 😲 😄

    Wait! You have to first decide which one you want. http://rivers-tone.com/about.shtml at the bottom.

    Aluminum / Aluminium with Gold plate (2 to choose from), Silver, or pure Gold. Plus, don’t forget the Sony pedigree. (with diamond accents as well…)

    The page I linked before had specs on it (the homecrux review).

    When you do contact them, let me know and I’ll check my pockets for spare change. I should have a few quarters laying around… LOL

    Looking over the River’s Tone about page, there’s a link to their review PDF that has a lot more info available.

    Still, they are small cubes, so you get what they give you (not what you pay).

    **You still need to take the info on the PDF with the Homecrux review to get a more complete idea of the electronics. The bling, well, that’s apparent.
