REL has their “thing”, right? 2 columns of 3 subs, individually tuned to optimize an overall bass, and sonic experience.
This can surely be reproduced with non-REAL subs, so long as they are able to be dialed in individually? Whether plate amps, or individual amps with gain, delay, and crossover settings.
My gut says yes, and adding that to the theory of spreading subs around a room, would 3, or even 4 stacks be even better?
