@livinloudwithandy Is that your system? That is crazy! Kicker solo-barics?
I don’t currently have a car audio system – per-se. But I do have some car audio stuff here. I’ll have to post some pictures later.

Now you’re speaking more my language. I love just upgrading the speakers in a traditional car. I’ve been in some cars, mainly like lower line kias and Hyundai’s, where the speakers are lacking. Heck even my Subaru didn’t have the greatest sound. I like putting a small set of coaxials in there to really boost the sound to work with the original system.

I’m running two 12″ Dayton Reference subs in my Ford Fusion, each in a 1/2 cubic foot sealed box. The f3 is about 50hz which is what I calculated my cabin gain would start at. Seems to work well to me. The trunk space taken up is minimal and sounds quite impressive.
I have a roughly 800 watt Kicker amplifier pushing them with a handy wireless knob that allows me to adust the gain, phase and check for clipping as well.
All together I may have spent around $500-$600 on all of it.
I may take a few pics just to give a visual but I can assure you, there ain’t much pretty to look at about it.
Cheers

@livinloudwithandy yeah, I’ve got one of the loudest systems at my university. before too long I’m gonna get a battery or alt in order to give the subs all the juice they want.

With most of my speaker builds being put on display in various living rooms and competition showrooms, the finish I typically apply often demands a more serious tone. This project was for me and me alone, and my only goal was to have fun. I painted a decal of a small but mighty anime character, Izuku Midoriya, showing the power this box could do in it’s “relatively” small form factor. This enclosure houses two 10″ Kenwood eXcelons mounted isobaric to one another, along with a slot port tuned flat to 22Hz. Not to mention all this being installed in a Ford Fiesta! My low end extension has never been deeper when I hit those lows, and my smile has never been wider when I peek through the back windshield.

@onelastchance – I would go with Mugen (Samurai Champloo) or Natsu (Fairy Tail). But that is me. LOL

@onelastchance That is beautiful! I love the basket on that! Did it come that way, or did you paint it?

- It is all getting pulled out and redone. Bought another m3c to strap on 2 dd 818s. Have 2 dd c5d amps goin in to run 4 vo-xn8 in each front door and 4 vom8 in the rear doors not sure what amp I’m running on them yet. Have 4 vow8 that are goin in a center console for midbass. Running an excelon headunit and about to pick up an audiocontrol dm810 for the dsp. Not trying to hit any numbers just want it loud and clear. Definitely a fun tahoe to drive down the beach in. Running a mechman alt. About to add a second mechman and a few more runs of 2/0 to the back. And time for more lithium. Probably goin to build a big headway just for ease and reliability.
