I think the 2 of the Ultimax 18, with the Dayton APA1200DSP Amplifier will be as close as I can be without blowing the bank. And, sure, I will DSP, and learn to do it.
Videos on YouTube that I saw achieving this spent a few $ thousands, which is probably too much for my budget.
Large ported enclosure might actually be better, even built into the wall. So I don’t have to worry about what my wife stores back there.
For the front stage, I also want to build it into the wall. Now since I have control on this wall and its depth, I am not limited to 3.5 depth. Ideally I’d like an MTM for R and L, maybe similar to your uglies, but built in. I’ll have to learn WinISD! My first thought is perhaps get the components from their TriTrix.
Anyways, I need to start framing this coming weekend, but I like to think ahead before I get too far.
