Polyfill is only ever useful for upper-mid to high frequencies. The reason the fibres work is because they interact in a way that makes them useful for absorbing low frequencies. It’s only the long haired sheep’s wool you don’t need to care much about covering. Anything manufactured you do because your body can’t break it down, similar issues to asbestos (not where near as bad of course)
