I dont see why two 8″ woofers wouldn’t work. I’m a fan of Dayton Audio Two 8″ RS woofers will get you down to around 30hz in less than 2.5 cubic ft. That should be around what you’re looking for. If you want to do some quick and easy box calculations you can use an app on your phone called speaker box lite. That is a pretty big room though so you may want to take that into consideration.
