I was just watching shango066 doing a TV resurrection on a 1960 console, and he mentioned the set had 6×9 speakers. I had some consoles in the past that had the same, so you could buy some automotive speakers (2, 3, or 4 way, whatever looks good) and use an amp that can handle 4 ohm loads. That way, you don’t have to worry about crossover design and construction as it’s already done.
