So, if the key is identifying pin 1 versus pin 10 in J1, which is the part that attaches to the expansion board. Once you find which pin is pin 1, then you tie the left and right signals to the common ground pin on pin number 2. After that, use the common ground 9 pin for all output, then attach to 5, 6, 7, or 8 for the output from the board. 10 is voltage in, and a positive 3.3V on pin 4.

So, find pin 1, then connect the inputs to 1 and 3 with the negative attached to pin 2 ground. Repeat with outputs.
