Looking at this graph makes me even more suspect it was the tracks that had the mushy guitar resonances. Although not a perfectly flat graph it is still smooth with no sharp peaks sticking out. The speakers may have an overall warmer bass heavy tone than a true flat reference speaker but as far as I can see (without listening to the speaker in person) nothing on that graph indicates to me problematic individual frequency resonances
If you yet me know the guitar tracks you were using to test and I’ll check them out on one of my calibrated, true reference, audio mixing setups. Then I’ll be able to tell you for sure if it is in the track
