Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping for some electronic wizardry to breath life back into the plate amp but looks like that isn’t going to happen so I’ve ordered a replacement. I’ll test the drivers tomorrow and let you know the results.
I didn’t damage the second speaker because I knew what I had done as soon as I heard the test results. A few explicatives were spoken but I knew well enough not to do it again. Expensive mistake. Hopefully the drivers are ok.
