I use PCD to design my crossover mostly because there were more tutorial videos available for it when I first started searching for “DIY Crossover”. It has the auto calc values for all the different orders and the target curves, which makes it much easier to design a crossover for someone like me who came into this not knowing what ANY of that is… But after using PCD to figure out what components are needed, I still put them into XSim because I like how it visualizes the wiring diagram better than PCD. I suppose that step is redundant… but as a more visual learner that helped me understand what connects to what.
So I used PCD to Design the crossover. Then i put those values into XSim which helped me actually Build the crossover.
