The glue n’ clamps
Since I forgot to take pictures of the gluing process the first time, here are some pictures from my second build of Cinema 10s. I am building 4 speakers in all with two of them already complete and in use.
The gluing process is not as straightforward as it seems. The pieces can move ever so slightly in the clamping process so you have to make sure that all the pieces of the box are where they are supposed to be, before tightening the clamps.
In my next build, I want to try gluing the boards and then nailing them with a brad nailer rather than using clamps. Or maybe use the glue and drywall screws to hold the pieces together without clamps. I would have to countersink and pre-drill in order to use the drywall screws but it still seems like a lot less work.
