Here are some progress photos of my Epic HiFi Speaker Build.
I don’t have a lot in the form of power tools, so my neighbor was kind enough to let me come over to rip down the walnut and maple I am using for the front baffles (as well as the mdf for the remainder of the enclosure construction). Below are the 3/4″ x 3/4″ strips of walnut I am using as a full tepth in-lay of 2 stripes in the field of walnut.
Gluing and clamping the walnut and maple together.
I used wax paper between the glue and the scaps blocks to keep them from being glued to the baffle.
Baffles after running through my neighbor’s planer. i really like the outcome!
Glue and clamp the Center channel i am building as well.
using the plunge router with a circle jig to cut out the circles for the speakers.
Enclosures w/ baffles.
Assembling the internal enclosure for my Center Channel to separate the TM’s from the W’s.
Layout of where the internal enclosure will be monted on the front baffle.
Gluing & Claming front Epic HI-FI baffles…notice I did not center the speakers on the front baffle; and I purposely constructed the baffle oversized to use a flush trim router bit on the right side of the speakers.
Used a Sharpie to transfer the locations of the Xover component onto the xover boards.
General layout of (1) cross-over network. I split them into 2 to fit better insid the enclosure.
