    Hi,

I recently built the speaker using an 8×4 ft sheet of 3/4” MDF, cut using CNC. Everything stapled and glued together. Insides covered in Sonic Barrier 1/2”. Screwed on MDF front baffle (plan to make the solid wood front baffle later). They are resting on B&W STAV24 stands isolated with IsoAcoustics ISO-PUCK’s. Driven by S.M.S.L. A300 (2x165W@4ohm) fed with Schiit Modi+.

n.b. I have censored the crossover as it would have compromised the build plans from @123Toid.

I was wondering if you could help me figure out why and how I could correct the peak and dip I’m getting in my frequency response plot (measured with UMIK-1 and REW at listening position, triangle), see picture below. It is quite high in the 35-45 Hz range, dips at 62 Hz, and peaks at 88 Hz again. The standing wavelength (1/2 wavelength) of the frequencies are 4.3 m (169 in), 2.8 m (110 in) and 1.9 m (75 in), respectively. I don’t think it could explain it. Maybe tune the PR differently? I know I could experiment with EQ to correct, but I want to start with the speaker itself first before trying to cover things up. If it matters, the room has some echo, planning to hang up some acoustic panels in the future.

I must say it’s a great speaker for music and movies, very good all-round speaker, plenty of power!
