Hi, I am trying to fix my old Wharfedale’s W70 but I do not understand the electronic parts of it. I have being told that mine are original and that the box is smaller than it should be causing the woofer to interfere with the midrange. I found thick cardboard tubes for cement pouring and I could make a 10″ tube around the mid range speaker to help with that, right?
Also, the capacitors in mine are three tube like capacitors twisted together and inserted between the red speaker wire inside. See pictures. Do I replace these with something similar and if yes, what? I solder electronic wires on my MGB so I think I can replace these, but I do not know what to replace them with.
