Thanks for the heads up. That is too bad. It sounds like their construction quality has really gone down hill. Who glues in a tweeter?
Apparently CA does. I was real disappointed by that since I’ve set up a couple of systems with CA electronics and Fluance speakers. They turned out really well.
You can see that it was held on by what looks like a few spots of glue on some kind of paper backing. Not Good!
I’ve since fixed the problem by drilling the dress ring around the tweeter and putting in countersunk screws. I can’t sell them, of course, but after a couple of months listening to them, I can tell you the sound is excellent. So they basically sabotaged a perfectly good product to favour the aesthetic of having no visible screws.
But when the grill is on, who cares?
Of course every company has it’s “Stinker”… so maybe they’ve got that out of their systems (learned their lesson?) for the more high end products.
