The SMSL SA300 is loaded with features and customization. Could this be the best amplifier under $150? The amplifier itself came with a few pamphlets and a user manual. Although the user manual looks small, it was quite thorough on the operation of the amplifier and remote control. The box also contained a USB cord for the DAC, a massive power supply that is capable of outputting 162 watts, a Bluetooth antenna and a remote control.

  1. Hi, I just finished my own icepower build. Thanks for you great video. I have built other modules before using Ghent cases and even upgraded PS Audio amps as well.I was wondering if you could help me with one thing I could never figure out. Ghent, on their mono cases (https://www.ghentaudio.com/kit/asc200-mxr.html) offers both RCA and XLR inputs and a SPDT toggle switch. I could never figure out out how to wire this correctly and gave up and just wired the XLR and use adapter plugs/cables when necessary.I would really love to see a clear wiring diagram for this toggle switch which Ghent won't tell you how to wire.Thanks.

  2. Nice video, but when people say here’s a video on how to build an amplifier, I automatically think of the full build process, from assembling and soldering the components, straight through to the end. Nice video though and I’m sure it’s helped a lot of people.

  3. Hi,
Thank you very much for your instructive video. I live in Europe and I am wondering if it will work with 230V or do I have to make some adjustment ?
Continue doing such interesting content 🙂

  4. Nice video, just wondering on the output power of this, does not seem to have much heat sinks etc for large power. Just pondering where this fits against a Parasound unit?

  5. Great video. Will this power speakers that run on 4 ohms or will it get too hot? Should I just step up and build 500asp?
