I have purchased the plans for the Epique speakers and built them. I must say they do sound really good in comparison to my previous B&W speakers.
I have a question which relates to the amplifiers that are being used to drive the speakers. Can anyone let me know what Amps are they using to drive these speakers. As I am relatively new at diy audio, any advice would be appreciated.
If it is of any relevance, I am currently using a CA Azure 651a which has 120 W per channel @ 4 ohms. I am thinking of purchasing the Hypex Nilai amplifier.

First of all they look beautiful! I am really loving that veneer. And I am so happy to hear that you like them better than the B&W they replaced.
As far as answering your question, I have used numerous amplifiers on the Epic Hifi. Everything from the high end Orchard Audio GAN amplifiers to the cheap fosi BT20A. Of course, I test multiple amplifiers to find out what I enjoy and how they work. Having said that, The Hypex is a great choice. I would also throw out there Buckeye amplifiers. They make not only Hypex amplifiers, but also have the Purify modules as well. I might personally go with the Hypex. Granted either are more than you need as far as power output, but you don’t have to use it all.
It’s also nice to know that Buckeye started with a DIYer that ended up starting a small company, that ended up growing. But no matter what you go with, you should be more than happy.

Thanks for responding. Glad you like the speakers. I will give the Hypex Nilai a try and let you know how it goes.
