Ultimea Thor T60 Review
Ultimea Thor T60 is a new ultra short throw projector that claims some of the best in the industry in both native contrast and brightness. With a claim of over 4000:1 native contrast and 4000 iso lumens, pair this with an ambient light rejecting screen and you could have a true tv replacement. But just…
First hand with the Wavecor Drivers

Shelf Filters: An Underutilized Crossover Filter
Why use a shelf filter? While designing a speaker using a full range driver, I ran into a common problem: the sensitivity shifts upward at a specific point making the higher frequencies output more decibels than lower frequencies. This problem is not unique to these drivers, though. Baffle step is another instance where this can…
The BEST 2.1 Amplifier I have ever Reviewed – Arylic 2.1
I;ve had my hands on a few 2.1 boards in the past. They seem to always come up short. Not this one! With DSP, DAC, fiber optic in and whole house audio…this offers everything I have been looking for in a 2.1 amplifier.
Powered Voxel Sub
Not too long ago I had a patreon giveaway. The winner won a custom speaker designed by me. Once the winner was chosen he wanted a custom subwoofer that would match his already built soundbar. Since he did an amazing job, I knew I to give him something that would at least match the quality. …
If I need to change the tweeter can anyone help with pointing me in the right direction to the Faital Pro 6fe200 4 ohm ZMA and FRD files so I can redesign the crossover?
If you wanted to change the compressions driver, I would encourage you to build the Cinema 6 instead. If still uses the same mids, but changes the compression driver to the de250-8. If you want to design it from scratch with all new drivers, I would recommend picking up Dats and a calibrated microphone. and posting your graphs. That way we can help you design it from scratch. Those would be the best options. If you happen to be in the UK, then I would suggest checking to see what Sound Imports has.

KL-250?
What do you think of making a much smaller unit, say with a pair of PC68-4 and the PTMini-6, for a small viewing space? You could get up into the mid to high 90 dB range for about 15-20 watts / speaker, and the cost would be around $230-$300 for 5 passive speakers (x-over included, depending on how crazy you go and what it would actually measure in box). and whichever sub you would make, 5-1/4″ to say a 8″, might only tack on anywhere from $20 to $60 more. (for ~$28, the Peerless GBS-135F25AL02-04 models near a 0.5CuFt box with an F3 of around 36 Hz. Low profile and inexpensive.) And if you go shopping on Ali Express, you could do 5.1 decoding and amplification for inexpensive. Somewhere between $400-$500 for a plug and play system (depending on wood prices).
Only issue I see with the PC68 is that no matter what box type you use, they tend toward a large hump in the 150 Hz area. At least that’s what WinISD shows. I wouldn’t know for sure unless it was measured as such.
trying to find the build plans for KL-650 copies – they dont appear on your shop?
also to note, when i follow the link from youtube, its a dead (404 error) link.
pls advise, thx
Hi, Is this plan still available or buyable ?
Thank You, Etienne
These were a great project, and the sound is exactly what was needed. Clear, rich mids… Speaker building as a hobby didn’t stick, but building these, along with the subs, was definitely the way to go. Thanks!
