If you wanted to change the compressions driver, I would encourage you to build the Cinema 6 instead. If still uses the same mids, but changes the compression driver to the de250-8. If you want to design it from scratch with all new drivers, I would recommend picking up Dats and a calibrated microphone. and posting your graphs. That way we can help you design it from scratch.
