      Looks cool!

Thats great news! I call shotgun!!

In my basement, I have a space earmarked for music listening and I plan to go the old fashion Turntables way! Needless to say, the proposed 215 speakers would power the stereo sound stage so I am waiting umm… anxiously. No pressure 😀

I saw the new build threat which I plan on following!

I am currently trying to extract the maximum mileage of the Fall season mountain biking in Michigan. I plan on upgrading my atmos speakers from the current 5 to 6. The plan is to build a total of 6 Presence 10. Two of them would be placed right above my home theater seating. I wonder if the Presence 10’s body can be squared shaped, compared to the angled front baffle?

One of the areas in my basement is to be used for music listening and I want to build two full range passive speakers too in Audience 212 style but with 15″ drivers.

Indeed. Some of the terminology used in marketing gimmicks have created a lot of confusion in the minds of individuals like myself.

Sounds interesting enough! Count me in!

The plan includes the Crossover layout and components. I cannot recall how much the components cost but I would throw in another 50 – 70 bucks for the components. I could be off here but not by much!

Streaming cannot match the quality of the physical media, unless you are paying premium bucks for it.

I am seeing the trend of people starting to buy physical media again like they used to. I, myself, have multiple copies of some of my favorite movies in different formats: Old 480p DVDs, HD 1080p and now 4K 😀 But that’s a small price to pay I suppose.

I have been busy with some home remodeling projects lately and have not been very active here. I have yet to setup my CNC machine. Maybe in a couple weeks…

                      Looking good.

You made quite a progress there when some of us are trying to take advantage of the summer in Northern Michigan 😀 My Maslow is still in the packaging but hopefully I would come around to assembling it soon and maybe put some mileage on it for a few projects before the weather prohibits working outside.

I have not had an opportunity to assemble my Maslow. The package is still untouched…. been busy with another project. However, I plan to build a flat/horizontal frame when I get to it. I plan on documenting the process and maybe make a forum thread here.

There is not really a set rule for laying out a crossover. There are, however, some guidelines that one can follow:

                          • Inductors should be placed at least 4 – 6 inches away from each other. If you cannot avoid putting them closer, you can change their direction or the orientation. Inductors too close to each other can mess up each other’s magnetic field.
                          • Try to connect the components without using additional wire and keep the path of the signal to the driver as small as possible.

My Maslow DIY kit was finally delivered today. The packaging looks smaller than I anticipated.

                              Well, that sounds encouraging 🙂

Is it just me or does this bracing look like hieroglyphs straight from an Alien spaceship 😀 Ok, no more! We shall keep this thread clean and the posts, related to the subject.

Those curved cuts look like they better be done with a CNC for a precise cut & look. Or maybe I should wait for more details first!

yes! The Subs are extra heavy – 21″ drivers with a GSG supplied MDF body & ample bracing. I may only do the LCRs & Surrounds and hold off the subs for now. There’s a plan to upgrade the Subs by using a dual driver cabinet from: GSG Audio Design. A single cabinet would use both of my 21″ drivers and it will also allow me to add another dual driver cabinet fdue to its smaller footprint.

You know how I said earlier that I was done with HT? Yeah… forget about that 😀
